Three critical sites in Pakistan are almost finished being fixed up for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy. As promised, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) says the stadiums will be ready for the event. The games will take place at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, the National Stadium in Karachi, and the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The Champions Trophy is back on the ICC schedule for the first time since 2017 with this game. It is also Pakistan’s first major cricket event in almost 30 years.

The Gaddafi Stadium has been completely remodeled and can now hold 35,000 people. It also has new areas for catering. The renovations at Karachi’s National Stadium will be done by January 30, but the stands will not look different. At the University Road End, work is also being done on a new building. There will also be new digital screens at the venue.

Pakistan Ground Update

The ICC, PCB, and the Board of Control for Cricket in India agreed that India would play all their games in Dubai. They will also play there if they make it to the semifinals and final. Sami Ul Hasan, a spokesman for the PCB, said that he was confident that Gaddafi Stadium would be ready for the match between Australia and England on February 22. Also, Lahore and Karachi will host a game next month with New Zealand and South Africa to show how ready they are for the Champions Trophy, which starts on February 19.
